Sweating

One way of getting money in Entropia Universe is to gather Sweat. Sweat is used together with Nexus to make Mind Essence, a product used in conjuction with mindforce chips, for example with TP chips to travel faster. So the fat and laisy buy ME, and the noobs gather it for the middlehand who mines or buy Nexus and makes ME.

How do you gather?
Easiest way is just to doubleclick the mob you plan to get sweat from, you start concentrating and a green cloud is raised round your avatar. Do NOT move during this proces, that will make you fail in concentration. After a succesfull concentration your hands is gloving in green. Now just click the mob you plan to get sweat from. One thing I think helps is if the mob stands still and is in the second circle in your radar or closer. If you keep it just inside second circle it may not attack you. This depends of what kind of mob you try on. Of course an Atrox will attack as soon it has spotted you.

Some people sweat without any armour since if a mob attacks you you will have decay on your armour. I have done both with and without armour, you save time to gather sweat with armour. If you do not have any armour and a mob attack you, run to a turret or water to get rid of the attacking creature. Mobs can't swim and dies after few seconds in water. I have spent most of my sweat gathering round Jason where you can run to turrets or at Atlas Island South where it's both turret and water. Or you buy a weapon and a FAP5 from the Trade Terminals.

Is there any "beast practice"?
First of find some one that can give you focus charges, this will make so that you can be hit by a mob without loosing your concentration.

Click and drag the mob so you get a green square. Fast click the square to start concentrating, in this way if you don't have any focus charge you will start concentrate as fast as possible if hit and also start the gathering as soon as you have finished the concentration. Wait a few secons and rest your fingers, then when you are close to finish the gathering start clicking the square again. In this way you start concentrate as soon as possible after you finished the gathering. Close the loot window when you start to gather next time, do this over and over again until  the chat says you can't get anymore of the mob. Now you use your weapon to kill it. If you are lucky you also gets some money or good item from the mob. Use your FAP5 or just wait until you have enough health to go to the next mob.

Some people go to the mob, concentrate and start gathering and then when the mob attacks they start to run, the sweating will continue but you are not hit(if you sweat lower type of mob that you can outrun).

When and where do I sell the sweat?
When you have got a good amount of sweat sell it at Port Atlantis, PA. A good amount is at least 100 bottles.

Before the VU 8.5.1 you where only able to gather until your sweat gathering skills reached prox. 210, now Mind Ark have changed this so that everyone can gather sweat as much as they like.

How many succesfull attempts can I make on each mob?
In theory you can calculate this if you know the mobs stamina. To do so you need a scanner. The formula is roughly stamina/2=succesfull attempts. The easy way is to check this thread of Entropia Forum;

Where is the best place to sweat?
Well, that's a hard question to answer, but usually there are a huge amount of players at the "Combibo Island", just north east of  Port Atlantis. Another common place is Nea's place at Amathera, where huge parties of sweaters join to gather sweat from the huge Ambulamix's. Lately the new Swamp camp north of Port Atlantis has been more and more popular for sweaters. There you often get healed and focused by other nice players. It’s lots of mobs to sweat there and close to a revival and a turret.

In the end you will find "your" best place.
