Estate guide
So you plan to become an estate owner?
That's nice. Get your own private place to put all the things
you loot. Maybe have a comfy sofa and a small table to rest
those colonist legs on? Just keep in mind; your mom don't play
Entropia Universe so you have to keep it clean by your self.
How do I get an estate?
To get your hands on your own estate you need to get a estate
deed. The deed is the proof that you own the estate. You can buy
one in auction, look under Estates, or from another player. When
you have the estate deed you need to carry it in your inventory
and go to the right address. The address is shown if you right
click the deed. Once you have located the estate you have to
double-click the estate terminal and press the Claim
button.

Oh, there is a monthly fee!?
Each estate have an monthly fee. This depend on the size and
location of the estate, the monthly fee is showed when you
access the estate terminal. When you have claimed your estate
you need to pay the fee. In the estate terminal window you press
the button who says Pay. Each press on that button
pays for one month. If you don't pay in time you can't change or
use your estate until you pay again. You will never loose the
estate by not paying.
Now I got my fancy apartment, how do I
furbish it?
First you need to think how you would like your place to look.
Then you go to the auction and look under Housing. Or you go
check the malls or other shops where they sell furniture and
other useful things. One of the first thing to get is some
lamps. The estates is always dark before you put in some
lightning. When you have bought the stuff you need you open your
inventory and drag and drop the items where you like to have
them. How many items your estate can hold is showed in the
estate terminal. Some estates have additional space outside the
estate, for example shops can have an display area or a mansion
or castle can have the possibility to put things outside the
house. You
can always move items in the estate. To move things from one
room to another is easiest if you pick up the item and put it in
your inventory; you right-click the item and choose pickup. If
you have problems to add things go to estate terminal and check
if Restricted access is set to No, if not press
the Restrict Access button.
I have problems to drop and place my
things!
You can't put broken things in your estate. If the value is to
low you will get an message in your chat window saying that you
can't drop it. Repair it or rethink if you really need that
thing in your apartment. Some items like signs and screens need
to be at least 90% repaired. If you have problems to put your
item as you like you can use the right mouse button to rotate
the object before you finally drop it.
I wanna hold a private party!
If you like you can have the estate open to the public or change
so only the ones you invite can access your place. To change
from public mode you need to go outside and access the estate
terminal. Press the Public button and you see that
Access changes. When it's in private mode you can
add people to the guest list. You can only add people on your
friend list. To add people press the Edit Guest
button. Now a guest interface showes. You mark persons on your
friend list and adds them to the guest list.
Good luck!
