Fast key guide

One of the most used tools in Entropia Universe must be the fast keys. It gives you fast access to your tools, weapons and interaction maneuvers.

What is the function of the fast keys?
Fast keys is a link between your tools, weapons, avatar actions and your keyboard. When you have assigned something to a fast key you can activate and use it with the key you have assigned to it. To switch from one tool to another just press the key assigned to that thing. Something to remember is that you can't change tool while you are using the other one. For example if you have fired a shot, you can't change to your FAP until the weapon has reloaded. If you prefer not to use the keyboard when u play the icons you put on your desktop is also very usefull.

How do I create or change my fast keys?
.First you need to make so you see the icons on your screen, if you don't, press B. B will show or hide your fast keys. Now we shut down the chat window by pressing V. This is only to make it more easy for you to see the keyboard later. V changes size of the chat window and/or hides it, press V until chat disappears. You will get it back later by pressing V again. Now press L or click on the Edit panel icon.

On the edit panel press the icons for showing your keyboard and your inventory.

Now drag the tool or weapon you like as a fast key from the inventory window to the keyboard.

Now you have the basics for putting things on your keyboard.

How do I get the fast keys as icons on my desktop?
Now when you know how to get what you want on the keyboard it's time to learn how to move it to the screen. Click and drag the key you wan't to have on the screen, drag it to the place you like. You can put it where ever you want.Some have them on the bottow and some on the top, it's up to you. If you like to move an icon on the screen click in one of the corners, you see that the icon changes.Now you can move it to where ever you like

I have icons and fast keys I don't like anymore?
To delete an icon or fastkey drag it to the waste bin in the edit panel. Keep in mind if you delete something from the keyboard the icon related to that key is NOT automatic deleted. The same if you change a key without changing the icon, it's always what's on the keyboard that is important.

How do I add actions to my fast keys?
To add an action to your keyboard you first have to open your Action library, press X. When the Action library is open just drag the action you need on the keyboard to the designated key. To make icons you do as with tools and weapons.

What do I do when the keyboard is full and I will add even more things?
If your keyboard is full you can move on to the next one, you have nine different Action set panels. You have one for each of the first nine function keys. F1 to F9. On the edit panel you have a button called Action set, click that to activate the Action set panel. Now you can switch between the different Action sets while you set up your keyboard and fast keys as you like. Some people have one for hunting, one for mining, one for taming etc. It's all up to you. Do as you like.

Bugs? My system keys don't work!
It looks like some people don't have action library on X. If you experience this try to only use the edit panel, from there you can start everything you need. Also check if the actions is on the right key by showing  the keyboard on the screen. All of your actions is find in the action book.
