Mentor guide
Many newcomers are offered mentorship and
answers yes before they know what a Mentor is. I will try
to explain the Mentorship process here.
What is a Mentor?
A Mentor is supposed to help you getting started in the game and
give you good advices to improve you skills etc. When answering
yes to the Mentor invitation you will be a Disciple of he or
her. You will be a disciple until you gain a certain amount of
skills. You will end your disciple period when you reach on of
the skill goals of your mentor. When your disciple period ends
your Mentor will get a gift from MindArk. This gift is not very
big so in the end the Mentor will probably not gain anything
from this since he or she have probably used a lot of ammo
during TP runs for you or given you gifts to help you get to
that point. Some people offer everyone they meet a Mentorship
and then just don't care if you succeed or not, if you will they
will get the gift anyway. So before accepting a Mentor chat with
him or her and try to find out if he or she is a serious one or
not.
Can I get a new Mentor?
NO, and Yes. You can't kick your Mentor after you have reached
10% in one of the skills, but the Mentor can always kick you. So if you are not pleased of your Mentor you have to ask
him or her to kick you if you have to much skills. But why should he kick you when it's a
gift on its way.
So if you reach 200 in rifle or 60 in surveying it's to late to
kick your bad Mentor.
How do I know how good Disciple I am?
Your Mentor can se your progress and will tell you. If you like
to see you can press K to see your skills, to the left there is
a button named Disciples, when you press that you will see your
Mentor's name and under that you can press information to see
what Disciple rules is used. Compare the skill demands with your
actual skills.
Can I always become a Disciple?
No, when you have to much skills you will not be able to become
a disciple
Good luck!
