Person to person trading guide

If you have too much stuff in your inventory you need to get rid of them. One way is to put the stuff in the Trade terminal and get the tt price for them. This is not wise; most items you can sell for a higher value then the tt price. If you have big quantities you can sell in the auction. Since there is a 1 PED auction fee for every item put in the auction this is not a good idea for items with a lower value. The solution to this is to do a person to person trade.

Where do I trade?
The most common place for trading is the square at the Teleporter, TP, in Port Atlantis, PA. If you are at Club NeverDie the control room is the place for trading.

How do I get customers?
First you have to choose a spot to stand at, in PA there is four walls, north/east/south/west, boxes, stairs, roof, statue, radar and TP. Just stand next to one of those places and start shout. To shout you use your chat window. People usually use advertisings like this:

SELLING ME 280%@stairs

How much shall I charge for my products?
If you open the Inventory, press I, and then right-click your item you can see how much it is worth. You see actual value and what value should be if it was fully repaired. The value you see here is the tt value. Since this is a living market and prices do fluctuate you can add a sum to the tt value. Like when you buy a Volvo. The material to build the car has one value, but the price you pay in store is something completely else, based on demands, trademark etc. Like all prices in the real world the prices in Entropia Universe is virtual. To follow the market you need to visit www.peauction.com or www.mytwopecs.com or other site that keeps track of the prices. One thing to remember is that the prices at those pages give calculated price based on the latest items sold in auction. PE Auction show both last 50 and last 200. In my opinion the last 200 is the most accurate. After a visit to one of those pages you know what to charge. There are two ways to tell the price to others;

How do we contact each other?
To start the trade you right-click the person who you like to deal with, chose Interaction and then Private trade. The avatar asked will get a screen where he or she presses Yes or No. After a Yes the trading starts. You will see a trade interface and a private chat window.

How does the interface work?
The interface is based on 4 different parts. Illustration with marked parts.

After you have accepted the trade press Confirm button. Do NOT press Confirm until you see the money or item you will buy. If you press to early the other part can press his Confirm button and get your item. After you both have press your Confirm buttons one last window shows, the receipt of the trade, this is your last chance to cancel the trade. If you are happy with the payment or the item you just bought, press Accept.

What information can I get about the item being traded?
To see how much the object is worth just right-click it. And an information window will show. This window has three buttons.

	Shows name and actual value + max value of the item.
	Shows the stats of the item. For example a weapon will show max hit points, durability, etc. Armour parts will show protection statistics.
	Shows a short text describing the item.

Tools
To trade you need to be good at maths and have fast access to updated trade information. The best tool for this is the PE Ass. It will give you access to a calculator and updated prices from PE auction. And if thats not enough, you get an ingame web browser.
